Fiber Base12 Cassettes
CSD offers both SM and MM MPO cassettes, as well as an extensive portfolio of trunks, arrays, and patch cables to assure efficient and accurate fiber network deployments. Fiber cassettes are the heart of a pre-terminated fiber deployment strategy – they are the primary interface for cross-connecting channels in dense deployments, as well as being the equipment patching interface for active equipment in your network. All CSD Base12 Cassettes utilize internal-shuttered duplex LC adapters on the patch-side of the cassettes, providing eye-safety when the network is active, and protection from airborne contamination that can put your fiber network at risk.
CSD’s Single Mode Cassettes are TIA 568.3-D Method A compliant, utilizing the same cassette at both ends of permanent links. Traditional single mode 8-degree angles on all SM MPO’s delivers low optical return loss assuring reliable network signal integrity.
CSD’s Multimode Cassettes are available in both TIA 568.3-D Method A and Method B compliant designs. Like with single mode cassettes, multimode Type A cassettes are common on both ends of a permanent link, and require A-A and A-B patch cable polarity management. CSD’s Method B compliant multimode cassette design provides an efficient alternative to Method A solutions, better supporting migration to higher bandwidth via parallel channels. CSD’s Method B cassette is common on both ends of a permanent link. Link polarity is maintained by the design of the standards-compliant components used in the network (cassettes, trunks, patch cables). Port location is managed during Method B cassette deployment simply by flipping the cassette when installing it into our Base12 Panels. CSD’s Base12 Cassettes are labeled to accommodate the flip, as well as easily identifying near-end/far-end cassette orientation.
All CSD Base12 MPO Cassettes fit into our Base12 Patch Panels, at various densities based on your network needs.
Retrofit Brackets are available to convert Base12 MPO Cassettes to fit the LGX-style panel opening of our traditional LGX-style Patch Panels if desired.
